As Vice President for Enterprise/Wholesale Field Services, Michael (Mike) H. Millegan
is responsible for field operations in the western states as well as mid-Atlantic and Potomac regions. His responsibilities include the maintenance of installation business products and services.
During 2000-2004, Mike was senior vice president for Verizon Logistics, responsible for the end-to-end Logistics Services for Verizon National Operations. Critical areas of responsibilities included material procurement, inventory management, distribution, warehousing, investment recovery, fleet management services and electronic repair services. Leading a team of more than 3000 employees, he was also responsible for leveraging these capabilities into the domestic and international commercial marketplace to generate profitable business growth directing business volumes in excess of 3.5 billion.
Mike joined GTE in 1980 and has held positions in finance, human resources, customer service, and operations. 1997-2000, Mike led GTE Wireless as area president-GTE Wireless-Northwest where he was responsible for all strategic efforts in sales, distribution, customer service, marketing and engineering for GTE's Personal Communications Services (PCS) territory throughout Washington state and Northern Idaho. GTE Wireless launched PCS, the next generation of wireless service, in the Greater Puget Sound area and Spokane, Washington, in the spring of 1997. Mike also led the GTE Wireless' effort to address and find technical solutions to wireless fraud. His knowledge of technology and finance has allowed him to serve in such unique roles as director of customer care systems.
Mike served on the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA) Fraud Operations Task Force in 1996 and 1997. In his community, h e served on the advisory board for Seattle Works Day, on the board of directors for Junior Achievement, the Washington Commission for National and Community Service, the Woodland Park Zoological Society, the Urban Enterprise Center. Currently, he serves on the World Trade Center Board in Seattle, and the Springs for Life Foundation. He serves as an Executive-in-Residence at the University of North Texas and serves on the Business Advisory Council for the College of Business and Professional Studies at Angelo State University. In 2003 he was na med Wells Fargo Distinguished Lecturer at ASU.
A native of Monterey, California, Mike holds a bachelor's degree in business management and an MBA degree from Angelo State University. Mike has one daughter, Whitney. He currently resides in Kirkland, Washington.
