ASU OFFICIAL RING SPRING SALES BREAKS RECORD
Under the leadership of ASU Alumni Association staff member, Lydia Martinez, the recent ASU Official Ring sales were the best ever for a spring semester.

The ASU Alumni Association unveiled the official ring in December of 2003 in the hopes of bringing a new tradition to the ASU campus. There are two ceremonies each year, the first ceremony held in the spring of 2004, where each ring is personally presented by the President of the Association and University. Since then the tradition has experienced extraordinary growth. Only ASU students who have earned 75 hour or more may purchase the ring, which allows the Official Ring to be a cherished educational and intellectual symbol.
“Purchasing a ring is a tremendous way to build tradition and carry a symbol of ASU with you. You can’t carry your diploma with you, but you can wear your ring to represent all of your accomplishments at Angelo State. I am really excited about the possibility of an optional Ring Savings Plan for all students. It’s a personal goal of mine to make purchasing an Official ASU Class Ring easier and more affordable for all students,” Lydia Martinez said.
ASU Alumni Executive Director Sande Harrison said, “The ASU Official Ring program sponsored by the Association is great to get the students excited about their class rings and represents a major accomplishment by our future alumni.”
“This is outstanding news – congratulations team! This is best promotion to date for Angelo State. It’s all about the tradition!”
Curt Langford, Director of Official Ring Programs, Balfour College Division
“Please remember what you did to get the word out because it was super! 64 orders were placed this spring compared to 27 orders placed last spring. Your ram mascot is going to get a lot of rubbing! Thanks for all your hard work and support.”
